🛠️ Step-by-Step Installation (General Guide)

1. Preparation

  • Tools: Screwdrivers, wire strippers, electrical tape, zip ties.
  • Safety: Disconnect vehicle battery before wiring to avoid short circuits.
  • Check compatibility: Ensure tracker supports your vehicle type (car, motorcycle, fleet, etc.).

2. Installation Methods

  • Plug-and-Play (OBD-II):
    • Locate the OBD-II port (usually under the dashboard).
    • Insert tracker firmly.
    • Test by checking LED indicators or app connectivity.
  • Hardwired Tracker:
    • Connect red wire to constant power (battery).
    • Connect black wire to ground.
    • Optional: connect ignition wire for advanced features.
    • Secure with zip ties and insulate with tape.
  • Portable/Magnetic Tracker:
    • Charge fully before use.
    • Place in a concealed but signal-friendly location (e.g., under seat, trunk edge).
    • Avoid fully enclosed metal compartments that block GPS signals.

3. Placement Tips

  • Best signal: Near windshield or dashboard, away from heavy metal obstructions.
  • Hidden installs: Behind panels or under seats for anti-theft purposes.
  • Fleet vehicles: Standardize placement for easier maintenance.
